Zensor's comments:
I remember visiting Oslo Synthfestival in 1999, frustrated by the fact that I didn't have a band to be on stage with. Lots of sacrifices and countless hours of hard work later, I got the opportunity to play this years festival with our band Zensor. Thank you!
Being the most important happening in Norway regarding electronically related music, it is important as a band to make a strong impact on the audience. Two things seemed to worry us prior to the concert: Will the crowd, after hearing twelve bands, have enough stamina to hear us? What are the consequences of being the least synth-oriented band on the festival - will there be rotten tomatoes thrown at us?
Despite the worries we had, the gig went domn extremely well. The crowd seemed pleased all the way through our thirty-minutes of sonic mayhem. The only bad thing about playing OSF 2001 was that we are not allowed to play next years festival. We will miss the food, beer, people, stress and the audience!
Get in: 1500, short on time we headed towards our beautiful and beautifully situated rehearsal-space on Alnabru. The athmosphere in the van was relaxed and we had no trouble at all with fuel or coping with the roads in Oslo.
Soundcheck: 1600, our man of sound has a remarkable ability to make us relax. Everything has a solution and nothing is a problem. Unfortunately, the video projector was broken. Our plan of having a backdrop-video during the set had to be cancelled.
Wait and bleed: 1700, go home.
Fire in the hole: 2400, Get ready to hit the stage, get all psyched up and ready to blow the audience away!
War: 0130, We hit the stage and play one of the most aggressive sets ever, both musically and physically.
The end: 0201, beer and nice people.
Thanx to OSF, Mads, Martin, Jon, Pia, Pia and the guys from Neurologic.
