Zensor's comments:
A small club in a small place with the pop phenomena Kaizers projecting simultaneously, pulling a crowd of 700, and perhaps a few of our own potential disciples - And a stripped down crew.. This night could possibly be our first weak step in an otherwise too good to be true pro-aggressive march. And we were keenly aware of it.
Claiming the room when the stage proved hidden in a corner could've been too much of a challenge - but some adjustments and a little less equipment later, things seemed fit for invasion, and we retired for preparations.
As for the concert itself, things went by pretty much in a blur - with three members hovering on the brink of black out. Patrick damaged his hands due to the narrow space afforded to his percussives, but no other parts of the machinery suffered critically - and a mixed but enthusiastic and continuous response from the audience soothed our strained selves. Someone even made a feeble attempt at clapping hands to Nothing ( - For reasons we, after a puzzled research, choose not to divulge quite yet.).
Back with the lockers we had no conception of the quality of this all, just the ache from another night's hard work, and that was enough to cope with. Then came smiling feedback, champagne, the sunny day after at the Industrial Oil Museum and a live recording to be posted onsite earlier.
Thanks to all involved - and especially those responsible for the strangely enthusiastic and open crowd of Grotesque. No Gother Than Thou - no Max-Pain-Only - no 14 year old divas on smack. Well done.
