Our first appearance at Garage Oslo, or the refurbished, improved So What, sporting a slightly higher and wider stage, cleaner back stage, and the same concrete basement eating away at the sound - But with a new PA that made well amense, and better, in the right hands. Ad the audience, and we're where we could hope to be at for such a small and hurried production.

Patrick was due for backing guitars on Residuum, but the hired amp wouldn't behave, and we postpone the experiment, leaving him with keys and additional percussion few got to see. A difference that did register was Glenn's GX-700, which collapsed and had to be replaced by tubed simulation. Another was the lack of lights and video that the Fight Club budget just wouldn't allow - Also, for a contest aimed at fresh acts, overdoing things seemed somehow improper.

Tension was scarce between the bands. A suggestion was mouthed to swop names and costumes for the evening, to bring things closer to some real competition. Not an option nor possibility, of course, but friendly nevertheless.

The set played off smoothly, though intensity peaked somewhat late and by sudden jolt up to Stasis, which seems just made for innegotiable impact, tapping into the surplus energy just as the clock ticked things to an early end. It's always nice to see folks singing/screaming/dancing along, and firing samples with perfect timing. And perhaps especially when everything is so stripped down and intimate.

At the end of the evening, we were surprised to find ourselves worrying about loosing - A consept we just won't associate this project with, and which was avoided, for now. Thanks to crew and friends for pulling us through to the subsequent round, and Farout Fishing for the backline.

Epilogue:
The following day, we record a surprisingly short list of broken equipment. Then we unmount Epikris to give it some more of the elusive punch, and loose ourselves in three days of listening and tuning, producing a new exclusive edit for Fight Club. Hopefully some will notice, along with other surprises up our sleeves - though perhaps witheld for the finals, if we get there. 4 new tunes are also pulled forth from the archives, and scheduled for production.
