Zensor's comments:
The prime oddity of this gig would be the tech crew being seated on a balcony at the very upper right, with view spanning barely half the stage. Mads solved this by using a headset throughout the gig, while Martin had to trust the occluded parts to mirror evenly with the parts seen. We have nothing but praise for the results of either, and we were pleased, immensly, by the sudden escape from utter crap at the last venue. The soundcheck was inspiring, and was fresh in mind when we entered the stage. We had every confidence this would turn out well, and all in all, it didn't suck. Glenn was offered a JCM 800 this night, which did the job just fine. Even the laptop decided to bare with us.
The stage was cramped, as it often is, and had no security trench or bars of any kind to keep the audience from getting their hands or heads trampled. Due to the age average, we tried to be considerate and play things down a notch. Those who still managed to get a beating most likely wanted or deserved it, and no complaints were offered.
Thanks to the many who came to our well hidden merch-table after the run. It was soothing to see Akureyri manifest an audience for our type of nightmare, appreciating openly even this light edition of the engine. Obviously, we should've brought more T-shirts and cigars.
No thanks to the ones helping themselves with merch and equipment backstage after we left the venue. Whomever took the camera is hereby invited to at least send us the pictures that were in it. As for accomodation and night life – it was all good.
Most mentioned reminders: Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode.
