Biography
Zensor is an immersion in the dysfunctional side of automated society. The band picks its aesthetics from the invaded body, the war machine and the relentless factory to create an industrial dystopia with little hope, no exit and no free rides.
Zensor was founded in 2000. Shortly after they were signed by the independent label Angel Productions, releasing their début EP 'Bunker'. The sequel EP 'Subsistant' was released in 2003. Tracks from both have been featured on several compilations in the US and Europe, and a full album is long past due.
Discipline is the key word – nothing is left to circumstance. This leaks through in a strong D.I.Y. spirit present in Zensor's every aspect of production. By handling all tasks themselves, Zensor has amassed a diverse range of skills and a uniquely coherent production, which also reflects in requests for musical and technical assistance from various local and international acts.
The current lineup consists of Glenn T. Nilsen (guitar/programming), Patrick Andersen (guitar/synth/programming) and Sakari Jäntti (vocals) with Jan Roger Halvorsen assisting on drums and Mika Martinussen on bass.
Zensor is currently recording their first full length album while looking for a label with the resources necessary to meet their ambitions.
