Premises for work

Published on: Monday, 8th o April , 2002
Palimpsest for a manifesto, marking out square one and the premises for work to come

The interconnectedness and inseparability of man-machine/machine-man

The necessity of submerging oneself in utter darkness

The programmability of every organism

The will and consciousness of the superstructures

That there is no escape from these

That an amount of autonomy only allows itself through the recognition and mastery of the same processes

That this control must be exercised at all times for such a state to be maintained

That the self thus guarded nevertheless remains a collective frame - an exoskeleton for the invading plurality of tensions thought one's own.

That only in extremes will there be found unique selves able to claim unity for themselves, but not due to any virtue except statistics

That every organism has a weakening safety valve that betrays it, operating by default

That this demands every effort to limit deviant memes from the message as intended

That integrity neccessiates a repeated monoview with minimum noise, confessed and proclaimed always before and at the expense of the individual

That passivity, discretion and alienation may provide an exterior equal to a cool medium demanding listeners' warmth in interpretation

That all we reveal will be truth

That these truths shall be important

That there can be no compromise

That everything we do is music, and that this music is essentially the same, and from one source
